2024 USPS Proposed Price Changes

As we find ourselves on the cusp of 2023 coming to a close, we recognize the importance of keeping our valued customers well-informed and consistently updated about the ever-evolving landscape of the mailing industry. In current news, today’s topic touches on the 2024 proposed price changes for mailing services. The United States Postal Service typically proposes price changes for the beginning and midpoint of every year.

As of October 6th, 2023, the United States Postal Service has filed with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) in regards to the price changes of mailing services planned to take effect January 21st, 2024. Included with the proposed prices is a 2-cent increase in the price of a First-Class Mail Forever stamp, from 66 cents to 68 cents.

Current - $0.66 cents
Proposed - $0.68 cents

Letters (metered 1 ounce) 
Current - $0.63 cents
Proposed - $0.64 cents

Domestic Postcards
Current - $0.51 cents
Proposed - $0.53 cents

International Postcards
Current - $1.50 cents
Proposed - $1.55 cents

International Letter (1 ounce)
Current - $1.50 cents
Proposed - $1.500 cents

The USPS is also seeking price adjustments for several other mailing services. These services include Certified Mail, Post Office Box rental fees, money order fees, insurance for mailable items.
