USPS implements 2nd Postage Increase of 20211 min read

Hello Postalocity Fam! Important News: USPS implements 2nd Postage Increase of 2021:

We dodged a bullet earlier this year when the United States Postal Service raised their prices on numerous postage categories. Not only did we avoid an increase on your price for First Class letters through Postalocity, but we were thrilled to be able to offer all of our customers, old and new, a 10,000 piece volume discount through all of 2020 and almost all of 2021.

Here’s the not-so-good news:

Typically, we only experience a postage increase once a year, but this year, (and to our great disappointment, with short notice from the USPS) there is an additional postage increase as of August 29th, 2021.

First Class letters will increase $0.03 per piece, flats will increase $0.16 per piece, Certified Mail without a digital signature required will increase $0.15 per piece and Certified Mail with a digital signature required will increase $0.35 per piece. Any Postalocity jobs approved with a mail date after August 28th, 2021 will reflect the updated United States Postal Service prices.

For more information on the postage increase, please visit https://pe.usps.com and review the supporting documents listed in the “Prices” category.

Please note: the Post Office is in talks of another postage increase in October of 2021, but no firm details have been decided upon or released. Stay tuned for more information on that in the coming months.

As always, we appreciate your business. Feel free to reach out to us with any additional questions.
