Easily tracking status of mail
Check delivered mail by name or address
Mail tracing is just one of the benefits of using Postalocity to send your mailings. Once your jobs are sent, there are several different ways to trace a mailing. Tracing can be done by opening the Job Details of a mailing to see the tracking status of all pieces in the mailing. You can find more details about this in Easily Track Mail Without Added Cost!
Mail tracing can also be done by a mailing address or a person’s name, allowing a Postalocity user to see the tracking status of any mailings from any jobs sent to that person or location that are still active in their Postalocity account. This eliminates the need to open each job that could include a mail piece sent to that address or name to confirm the piece was out for delivery.
Tracing by name or address is particularly useful for anyone who sends out bills, invoices or statements to confirm delivery to a particular person or address, and it allows the Postalocity user to see not only the tracking status, but a proof of the specific mail piece to see what, if anything, was merged on mail piece.
How to Search
To search for the tracking status of mail by a name or address, click on the Mail Pieces link in the left navigation bar on the homepage of your Postalocity.com account. When the Mail Pieces page loads, you can use the search function Address Contains in the top left corner of the page, including a name, street address, full address, or any combination of these items. Click the green search button once you’ve entered all mailing information that you would like to search for.
A list of returned results from your search criteria will be displayed in the center of the page. From here, click on the mailing piece you would like to see information for. Once a piece has been clicked on, the right panel of the page will display the status of the mailing itself, the address it was sent to, the tracking status for the piece, and a digital proof of what the piece looks like.
From this panel you can also copy the mail piece to a new job, in the event you need to resend it to a different address. You can also download a PDF proof of your mail piece from this panel.
